The United States is set to provide military support to Ukraine, for fear of provoking Russia in the event of an invasion has revived the specter of a new Cold War.
The US Supports Ukraine
Biden administration is now pulled deeper into the crisis over Ukraine as the risks are growing by the day. Moreover, the US is providing more troops to Ukraine over a probable Russian inversion if Russian President Vladimir Putin decides to attack the country. The discussion results of last week’s diplomatic talks, combined with the cyber-attack on the Ukrainian government websites and news of possible Russian preparations for a false flag operation in Ukraine all intensify the pressure.
President Joe Biden said that deploying US combat troops to Ukraine over Russia is off the table. However, special operations force already rotate in and out of the country to provide training to Ukrainian soldiers. Additionally, a senior administration official said that it is possible that other agencies could provide some support, likely the CIA. According to the US officials, Bill Burns the CIA Director traveled to Kyiv last week to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to discuss the possible threats in Ukraine.

The Russian President Plans is Still Unclear
US officials still have zero ideas what Putin’s plans are, or whether he has even made up his mind to further invade Ukraine. According to some officials who have seen the intelligence says there is no evidence that Russia is plotting to conquer Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, and overthrow the government.
The deployment of troops from Russia’s Eastern Military District into Belarus on Monday, struck many US officials and Russian military analysts as particularly damaging, as have a spate of cyberattacks targeting Ukraine last week. On the other hand, others believe it is more likely that Russia would conduct a limited operation in eastern Ukraine aimed at securing a land bridge to Crimea. The US on Friday accused Russia of launching a false-flag operation in eastern Ukraine of provocations and using it to justify an invasion. Furthermore, the Ukrainian officials same with Biden Administration is as well have not concluded any whether Putin has made up his mind. Meanwhile, the Russian troops along Ukraine’s borders and in neighboring Belarus have continued to deploy.
