Footballer Cody Fisher was stabbed by his “best friend” on the dance floor of a nightclub in Birmingham nightclub. Cody Fisher, a 23-year-old non-league footballer and school coach, was fatally injured at the Crane nightclub in Birmingham on 26 December at 23:45 GMT. Doctors tried to save him, but he was declared dead just half an hour later, as informed by West Midlands Police.

According to social media posts, he had been with the Birmingham City FC Academy and was a trainee with Walsall. According to the police, Cody was caught by a group before being stabbed and requesting the public in the club to get in touch. Det Insp Thurgood said, ” we already know that there is too many people around, more than hundred at that time in the club”.
“Now we are trying to find to live witnessed of the incident or if anyone captured the event, we already talked to many of people, but we still need the proper evidence. One of them told to news agency that there were a group of young man who were “looking to create trouble”, as infromed by police officer. Some of witness also shared thier expericnce, 23 year old Sydnee Power said, “while we entered the club with friends, we got a weird vibe, and the atmosphere was not looking good at that time.
Another clubber, Wolverhampton, said, ” we did not assume that this type of disaster is waiting for us”. The persons present at the incident also blamed the police for not correctly doing their work; one of them said, ” they did not ask us to clear our pockets even though mine were full at that time; I wore a trousers and all the pockets were full while searching they did not even touch me during searching.
People give tributes to Cody:
“deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Cody Fisher. Cody was a friend to many at the club, and we send our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones,” tweeted Bromsgrove Sporting FC.
While another club, Stratford Town FC, posted a tribute on their website “Our sincere condolences go to the family and friends of Cody Fisher. Our thoughts are with the you at this challenging time. Cody made 54 appearance for The Bards and having started with the club in 2018.”
