“To my beautiful Elle, you are the light of my life, you will never be gone.” these lines were written on the scene on behalf of her parents while other persons gave tribute on the stage through the flowers. According to the police, Ellie Edwards was not the killer’s target, while death was described as a “cold-blooded shooting” by detective Superintendent Sue Coombs.

She added, ” we all are surprised by this incident, now Elle’s family is in profound sorrow, and our officer specially trained for family liaisons is supporting him. “We are doing our best, and we will not take rest until we catch the real culprits.”

Edward worked at Nova Hair and Beauty Studio in Moreton; her colleagues said on her death, “absolutely lost for words”. Some of her friends share their message on Instagram “Heaven gained the most beautiful angel; we are all heartbroken, thinking of your family right now, Elle,”. At the time of the incident, many young people are gathered there. At 23:50 GMT on Christmas evening, many shots were fired at the entrance to Lighthouse.

After the shot, Ms Edwards was taken to the Arrowe Park Hospital, where she was declared dead. One of the eyewitnesses and friends of Ms Edwards initially thought that someone threw the fireworks when they heard the shooting voice, but suddenly everyone stopped, and we felt something was wrong. Further, she elaborated on the incident “we all were numb when we saw Edward on the floor; other people were trying to help her”.

Now, police are requesting more information from those in the pub. Police officer Det Supt Coombs said, “now we are trying our best to find the culprits, and we also requested nearby people, residents who may capture anything in their CCTV, to meet us because every single piece of information will guide us to find the criminals”.

Around one year ago, another high-profile shooting happened in Merseyside in the past year in this incident; two people were shot, including a nine-year-old boy.
