Stephen Grief the English Actor best known for his role as Travis in Blake’s 7 passes away at the age of 78. His death was confirmed by Michelle Braidman Associates on Monday. They took to Twitter to announce the saddening news.
The tweet reads: “With great sadness, we announce the death of our wonderful client Stephen Greif,” its statement read.
“His extensive career included numerous roles on screen and stage, including at the National Theatre, RSC and in the West End.
“We will miss him dearly and our thoughts are with his family and friends.”
Stephen’s cause of death has not been revealed yet. No official statement is made by his family, friends or any other relatives as to which reason has taken away his life. We will update you soon as early as we get any further details of the cause of his death.

Barnaby Edwards, the director penned: “Very saddened to hear that Stephen Greif has left us. A rock-solid performer with a voice as liquid and deadly as molten lava. When it came to playing villains, he was unsurpassed. His acerbic wit and obvious intelligence made him a joy to direct. Thanks for the fun, Stephen.”
Laurence wrote- “Such a shock to hear this. A true Gentleman and he always had so much time for the fans. He will be sadly missed. RIP.”
Susan said: “Such a shame, wonderful actor who will be much missed. I loved him as Travis in Blake’s 7.”
Steve expressed his heartfelt message: “Absolutely heartbroken. Wonderful man, a wonderful actor, what a loss. Love to his family and close friends.”

Stephen Grief was born on August 26, 1994, in Highgate, London. He was best known for his roles as Travis in Blake’s 7, Signor Donato in Casanova, Herry Fenning in three series of Citizen Smith, and Commander John Shepherd in Shoot on Sight. The actor had an amazing career on stage and screen. Grief graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and won numerous awards there. He was a proud member of the National Theatre Company at Old Vic and South Bank. Apart from enjoying acting Grief had also a keen interest in golf. He was a member and past president of the stage Golfing Society.
Not much is known about the actor’s personal life except that he was the father of his twin sons, Joseph and Daniel. Stephen at the time of his death was survived by his two sons.
