The millionaire great-grandson of Max Factor Sr., Andrew Luster was found guilty of 86 criminal charges in 2003 and was denied parole by a panel on Wednesday. The prosecutors proclaim that Luster was still a risk to the public even after being imprisoned for nearly two decades.

Luster being a convicted serial rapist was in lock up for charges including rape of three women and an unconscious person, poisoning and drug possession and sodomy.

Senior Ventura County Deputy District Attorney Anthony Wold, who prosecuted Luster said, “As a serial rapist who continues to deny responsibility for his crimes, Andrew Luster continues to present a threat to public safety,” “We strongly believe he should serve his full sentence,” Wold added. “His crimes were particularly dangerous, and he has yet to display any regret or remorse for his actions. He remains a dangerous $exual predator.”

Although the panel consented with the prosecutors’ arguments, Ventura County DA Erik Nasarenko in a statement said Luster will be released from lockup in about four years.

Andrew Stuart Luster is the great-grandson and an heir of cosmetics giant Max Factor, Sr. fortune. His father Henry Luster who is a psychiatrist died of lung cancer when he was nine years old. Luster is a father of two children, a son Connor and a daughter, Quinn with his ex-girlfriend Valerie Balderama. Luster’s travelling and surfing at various beaches had been supported by a $ 3.1 million trust fund.

In the year 1996 to 2000 Luster was charged with giving three women GHB mix in the drink and raping them while they were unconscious. He was arrested in 2000 after a 21-year-old college girl accused him of $exually assaulting and drugging. The Police then in the investigation found videotapes of Luster raping the women, including a tape labelled ” Shauna GHBing”.

Luster while on trial escaped the country and was declared fugitive by the judge although the proceedings went on even in his absence. Luster was then found guilty of a total of 87 charges and was sentenced to 124 years of prison and a $ 1 million fine.

Luster during his flight to Mexico where he lived under the name David Carrera was captured by bounty hunter Duane “Dog” Chapman and his team on June 18, 2003, and was arrested by the Mexican authorities. The Mexican authority handed Luster to the US. According to the California law Luster must serve 105 years in jail before being eligible for release with time off for good behaviour.
