The Recovery Rebate Credit
All Citizens of the United States will start receiving a $1,400 stimulus payment this year. To qualify for the new payment, people who were eligible for the third round of stimulus checks issued previously last year but have not yet received them will be eligible. Last-ever checks will be issued in 2022, following the filing of tax returns for qualified taxpayers in 2021.
The Recovery Rebate Credit, also called economic impact payments or stimulus checks, was mailed in 2021. Tax return for the year 2022 can include any money recipients didn’t receive before Dec. 31.
According to The Sun, when taxpayers who qualify for a Recovery Rebate Credit seek it during tax season, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will reimburse them. To be allowed for the total amount of the third round of checks, individual people and married people filing jointly must have an AGI of $75,000 or less (for individuals) or $150,000 or less (for married couples filing jointly).

The American Rescue Plan
The Biden Administration implemented the American Rescue Plan, which takes into account all of these new economic measures to help people and their dependent children. According to MARCA, those who could qualify children in 2021 can claim the Recovery Rebate Credit during their next tax return, even if they have already obtained their full payment.
To know how much the amount that an eligible recipient may receive, a letter 6475 will be sent out soon. The letter 6475 is the agency’s notice to recipients of 2021 economic impact payments. Additional payments for eligible recipients will be included in the letter sent.
