The Omicron Variant
The federal government has sent billions of dollars to Americans since the outbreak began. An aid worth $1,200 in March 2020, $600 in December, and $1,400 in March signed by President Joe Biden’s American Rescue Plan have been distributed to eligible adults as part of the federal response to the economic crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
The Omicron variant was discovered in the United States last month, and it is believed to be more transmissible than other variants of the virus. COVID-19 Omicron is the most recent variant to be discovered by researchers. First found in South Africa, this novel coronavirus strain was designated as a variant of concern by the World Health Organization because it may be more easily transmitted than previous COVID strains, as per The Fool.

No Next Round Of Stimulus Check But There Is The Final Child Tax Credit This Year
According to Fortune, one of the most popular Change.org petitions, calling for recurring $2,000 payments to adults and $1,000 payments to children, has nearly 3 million signatures. It’s not clear whether President Biden will receive another stimulus check, but his legislative agenda is quite extensive. After passing the House of Representatives last month, the Build Back Better bill, a $2 trillion package, is awaiting a vote in the Senate.
For now, the final enhanced child tax credit checks will be mailed out to millions of families this week. As long as an eligible recipient is enrolled in direct deposit, their final check should arrive in the mail by the end of the month; if not, they can expect it to come tomorrow.
