Petition To Remove Amber Heard

Amber Heard will play the role of Mera, the love interest of Aquaman, in its newest sequel. However, an online petition online on Change.org to remove Amber Heard from the movie’s new installment has already 4.4 million might affect the release of ‘Aquaman 2’, according to a published article in The Independent.

The actress did not yet release a statement about the online petition. However, her team already claimed previously that her role in ‘Aquaman 2’ was reduced following the Defamation Case that Johnny Depp filed against her due to an Op-Ed article she wrote for a news outlet.

What Will Happen to Amber Heard’s Role in ‘Aquaman 2’?

The ‘Aquaman 2’ is set to be released in March 2023 and the shooting of the new installment of the movie has already concluded earlier this year. In fact, director James Wan had confirmed already they wrapped up the filming in January this year, according to a published article in METRO.

This just means that there is no chance anymore to remove Amber Heard or her character in the movie even if the online signature will reach 5 million. Unless the whole production will make a new script and shooting which is unlikely impossible because will cost them millions of dollars.
