Embrace Mothers Program
The US. SUN released current news on the benefits for single mothers states that in less than two weeks, the city of Birmingham, Alabama, begins taking applicants for its guaranteed income program. Embrace Mothers is the name of the city program.
This is part of a larger study looking at the effects of Guaranteed Income on families across the country. The mothers will pick at random from a pool of qualified applicants.
Moreover, U.S Sun recently published report stated that a total of 132 single mothers have chosen to participate in the pilot’s research component. These people will not get a monthly guaranteed income payout, they are asked to participate to help assess its effectiveness.

Eligible and Applicable Mothers
According to the U.S Sun current news, a guaranteed income is available to qualified Birmingham, Alabama mothers. A total of 110 Birmingham residents were selected. Any woman who is the head of a family with at least one kid under the age of 18 is eligible to apply.
Recent news from U.S Sun also highlighted that starting Monday, January 31, and ending Monday, February 7, the application window is open for one week only. The application is available online and in both English and Spanish.
The applicant is also cohabiting as a single mother with a friend or family member who is also a single mother. Mothers or women in a mothering role who have partners. Women who are also living alone as the sole provider for a child despite not being legally separated from their spouse.
Moreover, a single mother and other family members are responsible for the primary care of a relative’s child. Also, a friend who is most responsible for a friend’s child while the parent is in rehab, incarcerated, or otherwise incapable of caring for the child.
