Amidst a terrifying moment, Kate Middleton and Prince William are expressing gratitude to their supporters.
A representative from Kensington Palace released a statement on their behalf on March 23, the day after the Princess of Wales revealed her cancer diagnosis in a video message.
In the video, which was shot on March 20 at Windsor and released on March 22, Kate opened out about her health in response to mounting rumors over her well-being during the period she has been out of the public eye after undergoing stomach surgery in January.
How did Kate put it?
Kate posted a video update on her health on Friday afternoon. Two days after it was taped on Wednesday, the message was aired.
It happened following weeks of conjecture on her location and well-being since her hospitalization in January.
“My condition was believed to be non-cancerous at the time of my major abdominal surgery in London in January,” Kate stated.
“The procedure went well. On the other hand, postoperative tests revealed the presence of malignancy. Consequently, my medical team recommended that I start a prophylactic chemotherapy course, which I am currently undergoing.
In addition to requesting quiet and space, Kate withheld the nature of her cancer diagnosis.
“As a family, we now need some time, space, and privacy while I finish my treatment, and we hope that you will understand,” she said.
