Presenter of The Today Show Brooke Boney has said that, within a few months, she will be leaving the morning program.
Boney, who joined the show in 2019 after switching from triple j, revealed on Friday morning’s broadcast that she has accepted an offer from Oxford University. which implies that after the Olympics end in August, she will leave the Nine network.

“Guys, I have some very big news for you this morning,” she said. “I will be departing the program after the Olympics as I have been granted a spot at Oxford University later this year.
There will be time for farewells and thank yous, so I won’t get into too much detail now. However, I simply wanted to let you all know the good and bad news this morning.”
Studying abroad has always been a goal of hers, she continued. She will not be saying farewell until September, but she feels that this is the proper time.
What is Brooke studying at Oxford University?
Brooke said on Today that she will be attending Oxford University in September to pursue a Master of Public Policy degree.
Prior to taking over as the show’s news anchor in January 2023, Brooke began her career with Today in 2019 as an entertainment host. She formerly worked for NITV as a political correspondent and as Triple J’s newsreader from 2016 to 2018.
She also received her Bachelor of Communication (Journalism) degree from the University of Technology Sydney in 2014.
