It appears that Chase Young may soon find a new home with the New Orleans Saints. NFL insider Jordan Schultz reports that the Saints anticipate reaching an agreement with Young.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Young will receive $13 million from the Saints, completely guaranteed, for a single season.

Who is Chase Young?
Young, 24, was ranked No. 4 on USA TODAY Sports’ list of the top 25 remaining free agents, making him one of the best available free agents. Tyron Smith, the offensive tackle ranked second on that list, is said to have reached an agreement to sign a contract with the Jets.
In the 2020 NFL Draft, Young was selected with the second overall pick. That season, he was named to his first and only Pro Bowl roster in addition to receiving defensive rookie of the year accolades. Despite having exceptional size, strength, power, and speed, Young has not become a standout edge rusher despite having a high selection position. Instead, his play has stayed largely flat.
His career total of sacks is 16.5, of which 7.5 came in 2023, the year he was traded by Washington to the 49ers in late October. San Francisco used Young specifically in pass-rush scenarios. and in the team’s 25-22 defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 58, he registered a sack.
