Steve McMichael is an American former professional football player. He played as a defensive tackle for 15 seasons in the National Football League (NFL), mostly with the Chicago Bears. Before that, Steve played college football for the Texas Longhorns. In 1980, the New England Patriots picked him in the NFL draft.

But his fame soared as a wrestler with World Championship Wrestling (WCW), where he joined the famous Four Horsemen group and became the WCW United States Champion.
Even after retiring, McMichael stayed beloved in Chicago. He often appeared on local sports radio and now has a restaurant named after him in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. He coached the Chicago Slaughter of the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) from 2007 to 2013 and also tried to become the mayor of Romeoville, Illinois, though without success. In 2024, he was chosen for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
