Victor Wembanyama began his pro career with Nanterre 92 in 2019, before joining ASVEL two years later, capturing the Pro A title in his lone season. In the 2022–23 season with the Metropolitans 92, he won Pro A MVP, and Best Defender, and led in scoring, rebounds, and blocks, becoming the youngest player to earn such accolades. He is a two-time LNB All-Star, won All-Star Game MVP once, and is a three-time Pro A Best Young Player.
Beyond club success, Victor Wembanyama contributed to the French national team, leading them to two youth-level silver medals, most notably at the 2021 FIBA Under-19 World Cup, where he set a FIBA record for blocks per game in a single tournament.
