At the VA Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin, on September 19, Todd Boldon, also known as “Toad”/”Too Tall,” died away quietly.

Who was Todd Boldon?

On February 26, 1964, he was born near Tomah, Wisconsin, to Karen (Burnstad) and William Boldon. After completing his studies at Mauston High School in 1982, he joined the Air Force. He was an active duty member of the Air Force for ten years. Eleven years in the Wisconsin Air National Guard came next. In 2005, Todd became a Master Sergeant and retired. Todd was a devoted Boston Red Sox and Oakland Raiders supporter.

In addition to playing golf, hunting, and fishing, he liked to talk politics with anybody who would listen—and even with some who wouldn’t. He also liked staying in touch with his friends, both old and new.

He got associated with the VFW 8483 after leaving the Air Force. Todd was just elected as a trustee there.

Todd’s mother, Karen, his children, Jason Edgerton and Whitney Boldon, and his soulmate, Donna (Eisele) Royston, all survive him. In addition to his sister Heather Boldon, nephews Tristan and Alexis, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, Todd also had two cherished cats, Sasha and Snickers. William Boldon, his father, died before him. His aunt Bernie and uncles Don and Eugene Burnstad.

At Madison’s VFW Post #8483, 5737 Highway CV, there will be a memorial service. At 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 23rd, they were followed by a celebration of his life. Todd’s family would especially like to thank the hospice care personnel and nurses at the VA hospital—everybody for their assistance and concern. “Death does not exist—just a shift in reality.
