As Washington, D.C. celebrates the holidays, the National Christmas Tree Lighting will be live on CBS on Friday at 8 p.m. White Rose Way Entertainment produces the National Christmas Tree Lighting show.

How to Watch the National Christmas Tree Lighting?

The National Christmas Tree has been re-erected after falling a few weeks ago, and CBS will broadcast the lighting ceremony on Friday night from the northeast quadrant of the White House lawn. The lighting is an annual event that dates back to Calvin Coolidge’s presidency in 1923. Every year, Americans create one-of-a-kind ornaments representing each U.S. state, territory, and the District of Columbia, which are put on the tree to commemorate our nation in its capital. The event will begin at 8 p.m. EST, allowing spectators to participate in the festive tradition from their homes.

The 2023 Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony will air live on CBS and Paramount+ on Friday, December 15; on-demand for Paramount+ with Showtime members; and next-day streaming for Paramount+ Essential users. FuboTV is offering a free week-long trial to stream the program.
