Le’Keian Woods, 24, was seen lying face down on the grass next to a car in the footage with officers appearing to pile on top of him. Woods’ head looked to be slammed against the ground by one cop. The video depicts a handcuffed Woods who looked to have difficulty sitting and standing by himself.

A bystander captured the video during a traffic check, and Woods’ lawyer, Harry Daniels, made it public.

“If this footage of the police beating Le’Keian up repeatedly. He’s shackled and being thrown around like a rag doll, his head slammed against the ground. Just take a look at Le’Keian’s face if defenseless isn’t enough to persuade you that these officers need to be taken off the street, added Daniels. He appears to have recently finished a 12-round fight with a professional boxer.

Jacksonville Officers Investigated for Use of Force During Arrest of Man Accused of Drug Trafficking

Force was indeed utilised on Friday, September 29, when Woods was taken into custody, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. According to the agency, an internal investigation was started to see whether any rules were broken during the arrest.

The sheriff’s office stated that “the agency takes all allegations of excessive use of force by JSO officers seriously.”

Woods was treated for a severe concussion at a hospital after the arrest, according to Daniels. The lawyer said Woods was fortunate to still be alive.

On Sunday, October 1, Woods was being held on suspicion of trafficking methamphetamine, cocaine, and possessing a controlled substance while armed. According to internet records, this person violated their probation and used violence to resist an officer.
