When Will Your July Social Security Check Arrive in 2023?

This coming week, the first batch of July Social Security Check will be issued. Your date of birth and the length of time you have been a Social Security beneficiary are used by the Social Security Administration to determine when you will get your cheque. People who get Supplemental Security Income won’t get a cheque in July; instead, they should have gotten one on June 30.

When will I receive my Social Security check for July?

The July timetable (PDF) for receiving your Social Security check and/or SSI money is as follows:

July 3: Social Security payments begin for persons who have been receiving benefits since before May 1997.

In July 12: Social Security payments for anyone born between the first and tenth of the month.

July 19: Social Security benefits for anyone born between the 11th and 20th of any given month.

July 26: Social Security benefits for those born between July 21st and July 31st of any particular month.

What is the typical Social Security check worth?

The SSA statistics from May will provide insight into how much beneficiaries might anticipate to receive next month. In May, the SSA distributed Social Security benefits to 66 million beneficiaries, 74% of whom were retired employees. The average cheque was for $1,836.06, with a maximum benefit amount of $4,555 this year.

The monthly average for SSI participants was 675.10. The maximum benefit for this programme is $914 per month, with a maximum benefit of $1,371 for married couples filing jointly.

What if I don’t receive my cheque by the deadline?

If your cheque does not come on the above-mentioned date due to your birth date or other reasons, the Social Security Administration recommends waiting three more mailing days before contacting them.

If you haven’t received it yet, please contact 800-772-1213 to speak with a representative.
(The SSA adds that wait times are reduced Wednesday through Friday, and on weekday evenings between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.)
