Some government states are distributing payments as the COVID-19 Delta variant spreads across the country. Over 25 million people have received direct assistance from several states that have utilized stimulus funds or surpluses to help specific residents, such as low-income families, that began in September this year, according to CBS News.
Own COVID-19 Relief Program
Americans with low and middle incomes received three separate stimulus checks totaling more than $1 trillion in federal funds. The federal government may make a fourth stimulus payment, but the odds are against it. As per Forbes, several states have implemented their COVID-19 relief programs, including direct stimulus payments, small business assistance, and expanded unemployment insurance benefits.
According to MARCA, financial aid and stimulus checks are available in several US states to help their residents. Because this time, the stimulus money is not coming from the federal government, as it was in the previous stimulus. The place of one’s residence now matters a great deal. In some cases, the state’s fourth stimulus checks have already been delivered.

States That Are Still Giving Financial Assistance
Stimulus checks are no longer the only form of financial assistance available in the United States. The Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit and other creative initiatives are also available in some states, as well as tax breaks. The following are the states that are giving financial aids to their residents:
The California Stimulus. The Golden State Stimulus is the only stimulus check issued by California because of its tax structure. Families with dependent children can receive a $500 benefit if they earn between $30,000 and $75,000 per year. Residents earning between $30,000 and $75,000 per year can receive a $500 benefit. By the end of the month, the Golden State Stimulus II program recipients should have received checks ranging from $600 to $1,100. A new stimulus check may arrive in November if a recipient didn’t file their taxes on time or were supposed to receive a paper check.
The Colorado Stimulus. Between March 15, 2020, and October 24, 2020, anyone who received unemployment benefits will receive $375 in compensation. People who earn more than $500 a week in work benefits will not be allowed to participate in the program. In Colorado, cash assistance (TANF), child care, employment, energy, and food assistance (SNAP) are still available.
The Alabama Stimulus. Alabamans’ chances of receiving Covid-19 relief checks are still uncertain. Because of the low unemployment rate, the state government does not believe that additional stimulus funds are required. The state government’s ‘Altogether’ campaign is not providing COVID-19 relief to residents or businesses.
The Alaska Stimulus. Alaskans may be eligible for an additional 13 to 20 weeks of benefits through the Federal-State Extended Benefits program. One factor that determines eligibility is how much money has already been claimed from the fund. Governor Mike Dunleavy of Alaska is pushing for an increase in the state’s amount of money from oil production.
The New Mexico Stimulus. The state of New Mexico has established a $5 million fund to help its citizens in the wake of COVID-19. Only a small number of those who apply will be selected for financial assistance, prioritizing those from low-income households. Financial aid of up to $750 is available. In October, the application deadline was still open, but it has since passed and waiting until November is all that’s left to do until then.
The Florida Stimulus. In Florida, the fourth stimulus payment was a one-time payment of $1,000. In this case, it was only teachers and first responders who received the benefits. To show their appreciation for their efforts during the pandemic, workers in Florida received a one-time stipend.
