Winter is Coming, COVID-19 Cases are Rising
The Cold Temperature worsens the rapid growth of the virus when people remain indoors. A year ago experts already predicted the rise of COVID-19 and they already warned the United States about the grim winter.
Moreover, Thanksgiving Holiday is believed that Americans are expected to travel around the world for the annual feast and that may result in another big wave of COVID-19 outbreak. COVID-19 vaccination is still the top priority and the U.S Medical Authorities are still struggling to get the 40% of adult Americans in vaccination.
Additionally, the medical workers are traveling to Minnesota to keep up with the response to the rapid growth of COVID-19 but the active cases are much fewer than the worst Delta variant last summer.
FDA Approved the COVID-19 booster shots
Friday, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the booster shoot for adults aged 18 and above who already took the Pfizer or Moderna Vaccines with at least 6 months or more right after their second shots, and for single-dose Johnson & Johnson will be able to be eligible at least 2 months after the J & J shots. In addition, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) agreed to the new policy of booster shots.
