Golden State Stimulus II

Stimulus checks for California residents are part of the Golden Gate Stimulus, a $3.8 billion package passed by the state’s legislature in February. Gavin Newsom, the governor of California, enacted a $100 billion economic stimulus package back in July.

According to ABC10, If a resident made $75,000 or less in the previous year, the GSS II program in California may be able to help them out with a grant of as much as $1,100. This includes $600 for them and an additional $500 for any qualifying dependents.

When the first Golden State Stimulus check was issued, it was only available to the state’s low-income residents. If you live in California, you’ll receive your payment in the form of a refund on your 2020 tax return, rather than a direct deposit into your bank account, as per Motley The Fool.
