COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate

100 million American workers in the United States will be affected by the Biden administration’s new workplace policies. COVID-19 vaccine will be required in January under a comprehensive plan to label coronavirus an occupational risk, as per ABC News. Federal employees, federal contractors, health care workers, and anyone employed by a company with 100 or more employees are all subject to some form of mandate.

Those in the private sector who do not work for the federal government or in health care facilities that accept Medicare or Medicaid have the option of testing weekly for the virus. As long as the employer falls within the scope of the federal rule, workers will be able to choose whether or not to wear a face mask instead of testing every week.

Following the new rule, the Occupational Safety and Health Act “provides for fines up to $10,000 and imprisonment for not more than six months, or both, for anyone who knowingly makes any false statement, representation, or certification” in any application, record, report, plan or other documents.

Lying Is Punishable By Fine And Imprisonment

OSHA sends agents to conduct inspections to ensure that businesses are adhering to its mandate. If a business is found to be in violation, a fine of $136,532 could be imposed. As a result of emergency authority granted to OSHA by the Department of Labor, the agency was able to quickly issue workplace safety standards that would normally take years to develop.

According to Fox Business, the fines for non-compliance can be as high as $14,000 per violation, and multiple citations are possible. The Democratic Party’s Build-Back Program would increase OSHA penalties from their current levels – up to $70,000 for “serious violations” and $700,000 for willful or repeated violations – tenfold over the current levels.

The number of people selling fake vaccine cards on the Telegram app increased tenfold between August with 1,000 sellers and September with 10,000 sellers, according to Checkpoint Research.
