Andreas Kronthaler is a fashion designer and a former student of his wife, Vivienne. The couple met each other while teaching at the Vienna School of Applied Art in 1988. The pair, after meeting for five years, got married in 1992.
Andrew Kronthaler, following her wife’s demise, released a statement that reads: “I will continue with Vivienne in my heart.
“We have been working until the end and she has given me plenty of things to get on with. Thank you darling.”
In 2019 in an interview with Evening Standard, Andreas, while asking about what kept his marriage strong despite the 25 years, age gap, said:
“Don’t expect anything from your other side, from your partner, your wife or husband. Because then you’re both free to be,” continued to say: …She never cared if I got pissed or went out. Vivienne, before married Andreas, was married to Derek Westwood. Vivienne and Derek, who was a toolmaker shortly after dating each other, married in 1962. Vivienne, at the time of her marriage, is 21. Together they have blessed with a son named Ben Westwood in 1963. Ben is currently a photographer. Their relationship lasted for three years, and in 1965 parted away.
Although the fashion designer has two children, one with Derek and another with Malcolm Mclaren, who was her brother’s friend. Malcolm and Vivienne Westwood‘s brother were at the same college, i.e., Harrow Technical College. Vivienne’s friendship with Malcolm McLaren became love, and she gave birth to her second child Joseph Corre in 1967. Joseph is presently the founder of the lingerie brand Agent Provocateur.
