Columbian midfielder Andres Balanta had a sudden demise on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. His sudden demise has left shocked everyone. As per reports, Balanta collapsed during his training session at Atletico Tucuman. The player after the holiday break arrived for his team’s first practice and suddenly found collapsed due to a cardiorespiratory attack. He was then immediately taken to a hospital in San Miguel de Tucuman. Despite the rejuvenation operation for more than 40 minutes he was declared dead at the Centro de Salud hospital. Balanta, in 2019 was also hospitalised for a similar problem. Although nothing abnormal was seen in his MRI and electrocardiogram performed at that time.

Balanta’s death news was confirmed by the Argentina first division club officials. Atletico Tucuman officer Ignacio Golobisky told the media –

“We regret to inform you about the death of Andres Balanta. The club’s supporters are deeply saddened today. Of course, we support his family, teammates and friends,”

The Columbian federation took to his official Twitter account to pay tribute to the player. The statement reads-

“The Colombian Football Federation regrets the death of Andres Balanta, player of the Colombia national team in its different divisions,”

Andres Balanta, full name Andres Felipe Balanta Cifuentes was a Columbian football player born on January 18, 2000, in Cali, Columbia. He played in the position of a defensive midfielder for Deportivo Cali and Atletico Tucuman. Andres Balanta was previously playing for Deportivo Cali and then in July of 2021 joined Atletico as a defensive midfielder. In his short career span also represented his country at the youth level and played for the Columbia national team Under-20 World Cup in 2019.

As reported in the conference the club after his demise informed his relatives- “We put everything at our disposal so that they come to this province as soon as possible,”

The player at a young age said goodbye to everyone. He will surely be missed. Our condolences and prayers are with his family, friends and relatives.
