According to the most recent Reuters data, 66.3 percent of the US population has had at least one vaccination, and 57.3 percent is completely vaccinated. According to White House officials, 77 percent of eligible Americans have received at least one shot.
However, some Republicans have slammed the mandates, like Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who signed an executive order prohibiting any entity from requiring forced vaccinations in the state. Some businesses operating there have stated that they intend to defy the prohibition.
Biden will also discuss the importance of working on booster shots that guarantee schools stay safe and open. Furthermore, vaccines for children under the age of 12 are expected to be approved in the US before the end of the year. Finally, he will address to the American people that, despite this significant success, it is not the time to slack off the response, a White House member said.
