The California Franchise Tax Board announced that the third batch of stimulus checks, commonly known as the Golden State Stimulus, would be sent out in early October.

3rd Batch of Stimulus Checks
In a recently published article in SFGATE, the payments will be paid out on Oct. 5, according to the Franchise Tax Board, which was unable to give an estimate for the batch size. For comparison, the last batch was sent to 2 million Californians, while the one before it was sent to 600,000. Approximately 9 million Californians are expected to be eligible for the payouts.
In addition to direct transfers, this round of payments will contain mailed physical checks. Payments would be made every two weeks, according to the Franchise Tax Board. The prior payments were made on August 27th and September 17th, respectively. In other words, your check may take some time to arrive in your mailbox.
How Much Will You Receive?
The Tax Board’s website offers a helpful website that may help you figure out how much you owe. You’ll get $500 if you qualify for the first Golden State Stimulus payment and claim credit for one or more dependents. You’ll get $600 if you didn’t qualify for the stimulus payment and didn’t claim credit for one or more dependents.
You might get $1,100 if you didn’t qualify for the stimulus but claimed one or more dependents. Finally, you are not eligible for the second stimulus payment if you qualified for the stimulus but did not claim credit for one or more dependents.
Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a bill July 12 that includes $12 billion in relief for families “hit hardest by the pandemic.” He said, “The state is taking on the inequities laid bare by the pandemic, expanding our support for Californians facing the greatest hardship.”
The money came from federal recovery funding as well as the state of California’s budget surplus. The $600 payments will be available to roughly two-thirds of people, according to Newsom. Those who have children will be given an extra $500.
