‘Persuasion’ has been turned into movies for different times but the Netflix adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel is something that viewers should look out for. The trailer that was released recently captured the eyes of the viewers that it has already reached around 1.1 million views in just less than 24 hours.
This movie follows the life of a 27-year-old Anne Elliot who remains unmarried despite the conventional time because of what happened eight years ago. According to a published article in COLLIDER, she fell in love with a young navy officer named Frederick Wentworth but her family did not like the engagement because of her lover’s status.
However, Frederick Wentworth returns eight years after with a title on his name as a captain. In the same year, Anne Elliot’s family is struggling financially. This will test Anne if she will pursue her broken engagement or move on and be with someone else.
