Patty Jenkins, the writer of ‘Wonder Woman 3’, confirmed recently that the script is already done and might be moving forward in a new phase.
‘Wonder Woman’ is one of the most successful films released by Warner Bros. and it was first launched in the summer of 2017.
Following this, a second installment of the franchise was released in 2020. Originally, it was supposed to be in 2019 but due to the pandemic, it was moved to a year after.
Meanwhile, Patty Jenkins announced recently during the Matera Film Festival in Italy that the script for its 3rd installment is already done. This means that filming for the movie will happen soon.
Patty Jenkins Released a Statement
In a published article in Screen Rant, Patty Jenkins said “And so, where I said that I was only going to do one, then oh my god, I have to do two. And then, I find myself saying, ‘Oh my god, I’m antsy to do three.’ And so, even now, I say, ‘That’s it’ because I always plan a three-movie arc. There is a story that goes through these three different movies as a whole. But even now, I just wrote last week the final scene of Wonder Woman 3 and I thought, I might be interested to see what happens next. So you’ll never know. They have asked us to think of ways to do more and it accidentally happens. But you’ll never know. I have a lot of other films that I’m excited to do as well. And I love Gal Gadot so that makes it better too.”
Meanwhile, the storyline or the plot of ‘Wonder Woman 3’ is still kept wrapped. However, star Gal Gadot confirmed that fans should expect Lynda Carter to return to the scene. She played Wonder Woman in the 1970s television series but it is not clear this time what her role will be.
