According to a report published in the Digital Spy, Park Eun Bin originally declined to accept the role because of its sensitivity. it was reported that she declined it a couple of times because her role here is a lawyer who has autism and graduated top of her class.
She said “I had to think about this being a drama, so there would be some media influence. I did not want to make a bad impact on the ASD (autism spectrum disorder) community,” However, she was only convinced to accept the role after director Yoo In-shik and writer Moon Ji-won, whom she worked with in ‘Stove League’ and ‘Age of Youth‘, told her to accept it, Soompi reports.
Park added “I knew that they were a wonderful director and a wonderful writer. So I made my decision that I wanted to be a part of this project. And I think it’s a great choice that I made.”
Further, Park Eun Bin continues to feel the pressure in playing the role because she does not want to perpetuate any forms of negative stereotypes about people with autism.
