Who really has the right on the “Iron Throne”? Is it the one based on her birthright or the King’s brother who is the presumptive king?

What the ‘House of the Dragon’ is All About?

Recently, a published article in COLLIDER narrated the glimpse of ‘House of the Dragon’. This prequel series follows the story of why the Targaryen family came into power and who will ascend to the ‘Iron Throne’. This will also tell fans about the civil war within the family known as “Dance of Dragons”.

Additionally, the civil war started after the death of King Viserys I Targaryen. Following it, there were many disagreements about who will now ascend to his throne. Is it his firstborn Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen or her uncle Prince Daemon Targaryen, who is the presumptive King, until Rhaenyra is pronounced as the next Queen because of her birthright?

In a published article in WION, the civil war marks the beginning of the end of the Targaryen family. This is the slow destruction of the dynasty down to the “Mad King” and eventually the “Mad Queen”.

How Many Episodes Will There Be?

Season 1 of ‘House of the Dragon’ will have 10 episodes while it is rumored that this will also have its Season 2.  Miguel Sapochnik will direct the pilot episodes and the other episodes but is not clear who will direct the other episodes later in the season.
