South Korean series ‘Squid Game’ is officially coming back for a new season according to the streaming site Netflix on Sunday.

The South Korean series ‘Squid Game’ caught the attention of the viewers and the critics alike when it was first released. In fact, it is the first South Korean series on Netflix to reach no.1 in the United States and attracted around 1.65 billion hours in just 28 days, according to a report published in CNN News.
On Sunday, writer and executive producer Hwang Dong-hyuk said in a letter to the fans that ‘Squid Game’ is officially coming back for a new season. Additionally, executive producer Kim Ji-yeon said that they are working on the script and form of the story.
He also mentioned that there is pressure on their part to make ‘Squid Game’ Season 2 even better. Considering that fans have enjoyed Season 1 then it is no longer a surprise anymore if they will expect a more exciting Season 2 of the South Korean Series.

Details About ‘Squid Game’ Season 2
At the time of writing, there are not many details yet about the PLOT of ‘Squid Game’ Season 2. However, Hwang said that there will be some familiar faces who will be coming back. In a published article on Netflix, last year’s winner Gi-hun will return with The Front Man.
However, the doll killer will not be coming back but viewers will be introduced to her boyfriend which makes the ‘Squid Game’ Season 2 more exciting.
