ZIP Codes

Californians with ZIP codes ending in 720 or 927 will receive payments between December 13 and 31. The deadline for receiving stimulus payments is January 21. Payments will be made from December 27 to January 11 to those in ZIP codes 928-999. By February 1, most Americans are expected to receive their refunds.

Direct deposits accounted for only 9,000 of the checks, with the remaining 794,000 checks being mailed to eligible households. In October, the Golden State Stimulus II payments began and will continue through January 11, 2022, according to MARCA. These payments are sent out every two weeks and arrive at your door, depending on your ZIP code.

California GSS II

Residents of California have begun to receive stimulus payments due to the Golden Gate Stimulus, a $3.8 billion package approved by the state legislature in February and signed into law. In July, government officials announced that California Governor Gavin Newsom had signed a $100 billion economic stimulus package into law, as per CNET.

Golden State Stimulus II, which began disbursing payments to eligible taxpayers in early September, will be the primary vehicle for distributing pandemic aid payments. An additional $500 in financial aid will be given to eligible dependents. Everyone who earns less than $75,000 in adjusted gross income in 2020 is eligible to participate in the GSII program, which is funded by federal and state pandemic aid. Similarly, Golden State Stimulus I was designed for residents making less than $35,000 a year.
