Dr. Dre admits he survived three strokes and a Brain Aneurysm in James Corden’s Podcast

The rapper and record producer Dr. Dre, whose true name is Andre Romelle Young, has disclosed that during his two-week hospital stay in 2021, he suffered three strokes as a result of a brain aneurysm.

“It’s just something that happens that you can’t control,” Dr. Dre stated in a podcast interview that aired on March 14. “The Life of Mine With James Corden”

When describing the beginning of his symptoms, Dre described feeling unbearable agony behind his right ear, which is a symptom of an aneurysm.

Even though he tried to ignore the pain at first, his son and a buddy quickly encouraged him to get help.

“I’m blacking out the next thing you know.” I ended up in the intensive care unit (ICU) and am still unconscious. “I spent two weeks there,” Dre recalled, expressing contemplation over the gravity of his state.

Dre suffered three strokes while in the hospital, which highlighted the seriousness of his health issue.

Dr. Dre’s path to recovery

Following his horrific encounter, Dre struggled to accept his own mortality.

Recognizing the impermanence of life, he said, “When you go through that situation, it’s crazy… especially when I was on my way home from the hospital because possibly, that couldn’t have happened.”
