Remember when the reality star officiated at her hairdresser’s wedding? Well, the stylist and his husband were already divorced after only six months of marriage. It’s possible that a three-time divorcee who conducted the wedding was unlucky.
Chris Appleton is Kim’s hairstylist, and he married actor Lukas Gage in April 2023. Kim performed, Shania Twain sang, and the entire event was documented in Season 4 of The Kardashians, which is available on Hulu.
The two lovebirds decided to call it quits less than a year after their wedding! It’s a catastrophe, and Entertainment Tonight has all the details on what prompted Chris to file for divorce.

Chris and Lukas accelerated their relationship. It bloomed and perished entirely within the year 2023. They began dating in March and released some hot photos of themselves travelling in Mexico. They got engaged a few weeks later and flew to the Strip to make it legal. In a private ceremony at Little White Chapel, the couple exchanged vows while wearing identical black fur jackets.
Despite going out of their way to have Kim officiate their marriage and get Shania to perform for them, the romance lasted only six months. Who would have believed that marrying somebody you only met a few weeks earlier wouldn’t result in a happy marriage?
Chris filed for separation on November 13th, with an annulment date of November 10th. He cited “irreconcilable differences” as the grounds for their divorce in court documents. That term is so ambiguous, but thankfully an insider spilled the beans on what has been going on in the relationship.
“Chris and Luke haven’t been getting along lately, and things haven’t exactly great between them,” a source close to the couple said. “It got more severe, and both of them thought it was best to end their marriage.”
If things are so bad six years into the partnership, they were likely right to end it. As reported by TMZ, Christian and Lukas had a prenuptial agreement, so there won’t be an extended dispute over assets. So, fingers hoped that both of them could move on without their lives in harmony.
