Ceppetelli, a Coe-Brown Northwood Academy alumnus, was one of six people in a 2018 Porsche Macan, according to New Hampshire State Police. Near 1:17 a.m. Thursday, that rolled over many times at the Route 1 Bypass South and the city traffic circle. According to state police, the driver was a 22-year-old Northwood man, and numerous passengers were ejected from the vehicle. Drew Ceppetelli, a Salve Regina University softball player from Barrington, New Hampshire, was killed in the crash.
What is Drew Ceppetelli Cause of Death?
In early Thanksgiving morning, Ceppetelli was killed in a car accident near the Portsmouth traffic circle. According to officials, Drew and three others were rushed to Portsmouth Regional Hospital, where she died from her injuries five hours later. Tyler Troy, the driver, and another occupant were sent to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover for non-life-threatening damages. Drew Ceppetelli died in an accident.
The Threatening Accident:
Tyler Troy was driving a Porsche Macan on the Route 1 Bypass South at the Portsmouth Traffic Circle when it exited the road onto a curbed divider. The Porsche then overturned multiple times in the grass median. According to state police, as soon as the incident occurred, Portsmouth police officers were nearby, and numerous oncoming automobiles stopped to assist the occupants until emergency medical services arrived. Dayna DiCola, who observed the crash and will begin her nursing studies at UNH in January, said there was “no doubt in my mind” that she would not run out and help if she saw the car in there. She rushed to give CPR to the victims.
What Do the Officials Say?
According to state police, the accident was caused by impairment and high speed. However, state police are still investigating all possible factors. For a few hours, the Portsmouth Traffic Circle was closed by police. Officers investigated the area while emergency personnel worked to clear the Porsche and debris. The highway was closed for roughly five hours before reopening at about 6:30 a.m. on Thursday. Ceppetelli was hailed as “a rare beam of light to many” by the mother of a friend and fellow young softball partner, Dee Brown. “She had a large family in the neighbourhood and never left anyone out.”
