One of the best defensive players in the NFL, Aaron Donald, has announced his immediate retirement. The defensive tackle, who will turn 33 in May, played in the NFL for ten seasons, all with the Los Angeles Rams.

He is one of three men to have won three NFL Defensive Player of the Year awards, and he assisted them in winning the Super Bowl in 2022.

Aaron agreed to a four-year contract extension with the Rams in 2014, guaranteeing $10,136,500 as a guaranteed salary and an average yearly salary of $2,534,125, with a $5,692,000 signing bonus.

In 2018, he inked a $135,000,000, six-year contract, his second with the Rams. According to this contract, he would receive a guaranteed salary of $86,892,000, a signing bonus of $40,000,000, and an average yearly compensation of $22,500,000.

According to the rules of his contract, he would have earned nearly $34 million this year if he hadn’t declared his retirement.
