Police in Birmingham are looking into the shooting death of a man who was 47 years old. The person who died has been named Roderick Walker by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
He was shot in the 4200 block of Avenue U unit #4 on Friday at 12:42 a.m. At UAB Hospital, Walker passed away.

According to the authorities, the incident took place in the 4200 block of Avenue U on Friday around 12:42 a.m. No more information was made available right away.
Walker was sent to the hospital at UAB. Where, at 3:20 a.m., he was declared deceased.
This year’s 20th homicide in Birmingham is him. Two of those have been declared justified and are therefore not considered crimes.
