The demise of professional dancer Robin Windsor, a previous contestant on Strictly Come Dancing. Robin’s life was sadly cut short at the age of 44. Between 2010 and 2013, Robin participated in four series of the BBC competition, enjoying a great career. Sadly, he had to leave the concert after suffering from paralysis brought on by a slipped disc for four days. In 2014, Robin returned to Strictly to take part in the show’s inaugural same-sex dance with Aljaž Škorjanec, despite the setback.

Robin enjoyed dancing with well-known celebrities such as Patsy Kensit, Anita Dobson, Lisa Riley, and Deborah Meaden throughout his tenure on the show. His best finish was in fifth place with actor Lisa Riley in 2012. In addition, spectators were deeply affected by Robin’s performance with Susanna Reid for the 2011 Strictly Christmas special.
