Kaya Scodelario and her spouse Benjamin Walker have divorced after eight years of marriage.
The actress, 31, apparently discreetly split from the actor, 41, last year, but said that they are still ‘the best of friends’.
The pair married in December 2015 and have a seven-year-old son and a two-year-old daughter together.
In a joint statement, they said: ‘Some time ago, Kaya and Ben decided to end their marriage but continue to co-parent lovingly while remaining the best of friends.
‘They request that their privacy and that of their children be respected as they move ahead as a family.’
The couple has not been seen in public together in almost a year, and Kaya last uploaded a photo of them together on Instagram during a wedding in September 2022.
Last week, the Skins star attended the Vanity Fair EE Rising Star party, where she was pictured without her wedding ring.
She has subsequently taken out on a sun-soaked excursion to the Maldives with a bunch of female friends.
On Tuesday, she posted a photo of the trio posing by the clear water on Instagram with the caption, ‘Feeling so lucky to go through life with these amazing friends.’
Kaya hinted at her marriage dissolution by saying, “Normalize going to ‘romantic’ locations with your friends instead.”
Kaya and Benjamin met while filming The King’s Daughter back in 2014 when the Maze Runner star was 22 and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power actor was 31.
After a whirlwind romance, they became engaged in December 2014 and tied the knot the following December, both adopting the surname Scodelario-Davis.
