In February 2018, she claimed the title at the Burnie International, a $60k tournament in Australia, and in March made the final of the Zhuhai Open, another $60k event. Although the rest of the year did not have the same level of success, she bounced back in 2019, capturing two more ITF Circuit titles and reaching the quarterfinals of the WTA tournament in Strasbourg as a qualifier, where she faced a tough set against fourth seed Caroline Garcia.

Progressing to the WTA 500 Adelaide International 1 in 2020, Marta navigated through the qualifying rounds and reached the quarterfinals, defeating Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina. She continued her strong performance at the Australian Open and defeated 28th seeds Amanda Anisimova and Olivia Gadecki to reach the third round for the third time.
