The cherished celebrity passed away from “breast cancer with metastasis to brain,” as per a copy of her death certificate that Fox News Digital was able to get.
According to the statement, she also had “hypertension, hydrocephalus,” two more serious diseases that led to her death but did not cause the underlying problem.
SUZANNE SOMERS DEAD AT 76
The actress from “Step by Step” “passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of October 15th,” according to a statement sent by Somers’ publicist and given to Fox News Digital at the time.
“She survived an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years.”
According to her death certificate, Somers had a biopsy done but no autopsy when she passed away.
Her death at her Palm Springs, California, home during “residence hospice” was also verified by the death certificate.
The paper said that Somers had been buried. Her spokesman stated at the time of her passing that her family “was gathered to celebrate her 77th birthday on October 16th.”
“Instead, they will commemorate her extraordinary life, and dedicate it to her millions of followers and fans who loved her dearly,” a spokesperson for Somers stated at the time. “A private family burial will take place this week, with a memorial to follow next month.”
The “She’s the Sheriff” star had previously been diagnosed with cancer. She was diagnosed with skin cancer in her thirties and breast cancer in her fifties.
Somers confirmed to Fox News Digital in July that her breast cancer had returned.
“I’ve been fighting cancer for decades, using both alternative and conventional medicine to keep it at bay.” “Every time that little f—er appears, I continue to bat it away,” she explained.
In 1977, Somers married her second husband, television presenter Alan Hamel. She frequently spoke about their adoring connection.
They have three granddaughters, Camelia, Violet, and Daisy, in addition to their son Bruce.
