Midtown Manhattan Incident: Driver Strikes Crowd, Leaving 7 Injured, According to NYPD

At around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2023, an automobile driven by a 29-year-old lady from Belle Mead, New Jersey. A gathering of people was struck on West 36th Street near Fifth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. She was driving east on West 36th Street when she ran a red light and collided with the throng.

Six males and one women were among the seven individuals hurt in the incident. The victims’ ages varied from 24 to 61. All of the victims suffered non-life threatening injuries such as cuts, bruises, and fractured bones. One individual was brought to the hospital in critical condition, but is expected to recover completely.

The motorist continued driving after colliding with the crowd and fled the area. She drove through the Midtown Tunnel and into Queens before colliding with three other cars on the Long Island Motorway. The driver was unharmed in the second collision.
