Woman Undergoing Cancer Treatment Killed By Her Boyfriend

Kimberley Hardy, a 42-year-old woman undergoing cancer treatment, was tragically reported missing on June 18, 2023. Hardy, who was getting cancer treatment, was reported missing by her mother on June 18, 2023. Kimberley’s corpse was discovered wrapped in plastic in a forested location near Harvey Siding Road on June 25, 2023. Boyfriend is accused of murdering his girlfriend, who was undergoing cancer treatment, after her body was discovered in the woods.

According to Maine Public Radio, the corpse was discovered wrapped in plastic on June 25.

 

Boyfriend arrested for missing women murder

Maine police have made an arrest in the murder of a young woman who went missing while receiving cancer treatment.

Jayme was arrested and charged with Kimberley’s murder on Monday. Police claim that the woman  relatives and friends were unable to get in touch with her. The suspect and the victim had been in a relationship since February 2022, according to Facebook posts.

According to investigators, Schnackenberg informed two persons that he shot Hardy after they got into a quarrel. He denied any involvement in Hardy’s abduction, but on the day Hardy’s body was found, investigators claimed found blood stains and a gun at his home.

On June 18, the mother of Kimberley Hardy, 42, filed a missing person’s report. Houlton Police Department started an investigation after the victim was reported missing and found that Kimberley Hardy had left behind various personal belongings, including her automobile, cancer medicine, and her beloved cat Pevy.

The 42-year-old was then sought after by the Maine Warden Service, Maine State Police, their Major Crimes Unit, Maine State Police Troop, and their Computer Crimes Unit. Police located her corpse in a forested location a few days later. After then, an autopsy was performed on her remains; the results have not yet been made public.

According to authorities, the body was sent to the medical examiner’s office in Augusta for an autopsy, where the cause of death and formal identification will be confirmed.

Schnackenberg appeared in court for the first time on Monday and is being detained without bond at the Aroostook County Jail.

The crime is still being investigated, and authorities are looking into “several scenes.”
