The head of private school Epsom College, along with her husband and seven-year-old daughter, was discovered dead in residence on school grounds. Emma Pattison, 45, her husband George, 39, and their daughter Lettie were found dead on Sunday at 01:10 GMT. Police said they were sure it was an isolated event “with no third-party participation”. Ms Pattison was regarded as a “great head” by Epsom College. “On behalf of Surrey Police, my colleagues, and I, I first want to express my condolences to the friends and family of Emma, Lettie, and George, as well as the students and staff of Epsom College, for their awful loss,” said Kimball Edey.

Who is Emma Pattison’s, Husband George?

George Pattison, born in March 1983, was a professional accountant. He was the director of Tanglewood 2016, a management consulting firm. According to Companies House, he started on October 26, 2016. George and his wife, Emma, lived on the Epsom College grounds with their daughter Lettie and their pet Labrador, Bella. Emma was a respected headteacher who took over at the college in September 2022, becoming the first female to hold the position. She was previously the principal of Croydon High School, a position she held from 2016 until 2022.

George, 39, his wife, 45, and their seven-year-old daughter Lettie were discovered dead on the school premises on February 5, 2023. Police believe this is a one-time occurrence with no third-party involvement.

Tributes to the Family:

“On behalf of everyone at Epsom College, I want to express our profound shock and sorrow at this dreadful news,” wrote Dr Alastair Wells, Chair of the Board of Governors at Epsom College. “Our initial thoughts and condolences are with Emma’s family, friends and loved ones, and the many pupils and colleagues whose lives she enriched over her long career.

“On behalf of Surrey Police, my colleagues, and I, I first want to express my heartfelt condolences to the friends and family of Emma, Lettie, and George, as well as the students and staff of Epsom College, for their awful loss,” Detective Chief Inspector Kimball Edey said on Sunday, February 5, 2023. “I want to give my confidence that we will undertake a comprehensive inquiry into what took place last night, and hope to be able to bring some calm in these difficult circumstances. I want their privacy to be respected during this difficult time.”
