A Mother and daughter were shot and killed in a recent incident in Des Moines’ Merle Hay neighbourhood, but after they shot both of them, he shot himself in a nearby park; he has died, as informed by the police on Thursday. The name was identified as Jason Rothman by the police. At the time of the incident, Rothman entered the home of Danielle Remily, 47, who lived with her daughter named Emma Parker, 20, at the 2600 block of 53rd St. both of them were killed by Jason at 3.00 AM on Monday told by Mones Police Investigators.
According to Mones police, they firmly believed that Rothman was the former boyfriend of Emma Parker. After shooting both mother and daughter, Rothman called emergency services and confessed that he shot two persons; just after some, he committed suicide, told by police.
Police found him in a nearby park with gunshot wounds and took him immediately to the hospital. Police started their investigation from the park and found a handgun at the spot; through the research, police found an indication that the handgun was the same one used in the murder. Police are still trying to solve the case on the available evidence.
Both mother and daughter were declared dead on the spot. If we talk about the total killings in this year in Des Moines, there were the 19th and 20th in the figures. These deaths include the real toll of domestic violence in Iowa, and the number reached 12 in August, which was the latest figure available at the current time.
