Serbian senior football manager and former player Miodrag Jesic had a tragic death on December 8, 2022. The coach at 64 suddenly passed away in a car crash accident between Ruma and Jarak. The incident took place near the remote area of the village Jarak and the Partizan coach died on the spot. According to the reports Miodrag Jesic’s car flew under a truck.

According to the sources, long lines of vehicles formed on the main road so to avoid inconvenience traffic was diverted. The driver of the truck who was slightly injured said in his statement to police that he “could not avoid a Citroen that flew under”. He also told police that he saw the car later and by that time it was moving in a zig-zag pattern. Investigations are going on and the driver was also tested for alcohol.
On the road to Sabac at the traffic circle, the police blocked traffic. It was just three kilometres from the accidental spot. His vehicle has been dragged to Ruma. The place where the incident took place has now been cleared.

Miodrag Jesic was born on November 30, 1958, in Osecenica, Ruma, Serbia. Miodrag for Partizan played as a defender between 1974 and 1985, during which he participated in 342 games and scored 81 goals in all matches. Jesic’s wife is Irena with whom he had a daughter who died in a traffic collision at the age of nineteen. Jesic at the time was coaching CS Sfaxien.
In 1990 during a league match between Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor, he injured Ridvan Dilmen. Dilmen despite sixteen operations did not recover fully and had to retire in 1995 after several years of painful injuries. Miodrag by the time became a victim of haters amongst the Fenerbahce fans. He was also given the nickname ” Kasap Yesic” which means ” Jesic the Butcher” by his opponents who claimed that he had injured many players in Turkey.
