The current “truth detector” for America is Larry Elder. Larry joined Salem Media Group after 20 years of setting the standard on KABC in Los Angeles, and in April 2016 SRN re-launched his nationally syndicated radio show. Before joining the Salem Radio Network, Larry was first syndicated by the ABC Radio Network from 2002 until 2007. Larry, also known as “the Sage from South Central,” has no qualms about confronting liberals and the Black Lives Matter movement head-on with reason. Before being seen by SRN anchor Dennis Prager, Larry practiced law after earning his law degree from Michigan University. Dennis then suggested Larry to KABC’s famed general manager George Green as a host. What follows is history.
Larry’s philosophy is to amuse, educate, provoke, and “hopefully elevate.” He says we have a country to preserve, and that involves going back to the fundamental constitutional values of limited government and maximal individual responsibility. I regard the Constitution as a compact that restrains the federal government, leaving the states and the people in charge of everything else, Larry said. According to Larry, it is the moral duty of the general public—not the federal government—to provide assistance to needy individuals. Our responsibility, not the government’s, is to show compassion.
Four of Larry’s books have achieved New York Times best-seller status, the most recent of which being “A Lot Like Me: A Father and Son’s Journey to Reconciliation.” His national television program, “Moral Court,” was once the most-watched program in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. It was syndicated across the nation. He was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2015 after winning a Los Angeles Emmy in 1999 for “Best News Special.” “I am beyond excited to be a part of the Salem Radio Network. What a wonderful moment to be on the radio, assisting people in making sense of one of the most bizarre election cycles we have ever witnessed,” Larry continued. “The question is not which party has my back, but which party can get the government off of our backs so that we may all achieve our God-given possibilities,” he claims.
Larry Elder Relationship
The political stances of Elder are well known, and he has publicly shared them when running for office. Although it is a prerequisite of his career that one is transparent about their political ideas, Elder has kept his marital life a secret. After years of acquaintance, Elder reportedly wed Swiss actress and media personality Alexandra Dating in 2014. But in 2015, rumors claimed that Elder and Dating had truly split up. Since then, Elder has made repeated references to his “girlfriend” on social media, but the details were never specific enough to rule out the idea that he was referring to Dating.
Dating said in an interview with Politico that she ended an 18-month relationship with the conservative talk show personality in 2015 after he pointed a pistol at her while stoned. The 51-year-old claimed to the site that the event happened when their relationship broke down and they were having a furious dispute. Elder reportedly “walked up to the nightstand, opened the door, and pulled out the pistol” when she stopped speaking during the altercation, according to Dating. She said, “And he checked if it was loaded – while I was talking.” “He wanted me to see that he had it,” I said.
When alluding to the late record producer who was found guilty of murdering actress Lana Clarkson in 2003, Dating claimed she briefly believed she could be experiencing a “Phil Spector moment.” “My panic was intense, and I knew I had to defuse the situation. I attempted to utilize every recovery technique I had when he threatened to send me out on the street rather than respond or throw something. I simply left,” she stated. “I barricaded myself in the lower bedroom.” I was trained to believe that a pistol should never be drawn in a fit of rage or when intoxicated or high, which is exactly what the shooter did.
