Hunger Games is to return in cinemas soon bringing a prequel of the movie titled ‘The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’ based on the teaser released on Monday.

The teaser about the ‘Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’ released on Monday did not tell much about the prequel of the movie. However, there is a question that caught the attention of the viewers and its followers; Who is the SNAKE and the SONGBIRD?
In a published article in PEOPLE, the prequel follows the early life president of Panem, Coriolanus, during the trilogy of the movie. According to the report, this prequel of the ‘Hunger Games’ will give Snow’s life as a young man and the origin of the games.
Needless to say, it is very important to note also that the prequel is based from Suzanne Collins’ prequel novel. This focuses more on how the games become punishments. This will also discuss how Corialnus Snow becomes the villainous leader who tormented Katniss Everdeen in the trilogy of the ‘Hunger Games’, according to a published article in DEADLINE.

Cast Members, Production, and Release Date
In a report published in POLYGON, the Lionsgate has so far did not divulge yet the new cast members in the prequel. However, here are the two confirmed actors who will be in the movie:
- Tom Blyth who will play as the young President Corialanus Snow
- Rachel Zegler who play as Lucy Gray Baird
Furthermore, Lionsgate motion picture group chairman Joe Drake revealed in August 2021 that the production of the movie is expected to be sometime in the first half of this year. With the teaser of the prequel released on Monday, it can be concluded that they are now filming the movie. Nevertheless, The Ballad of the Songbirds and the Snake is expected to be released on November 17, 2023.
