This holiday season, many states are rewarding their citizens with bonus payments. Local governments in several states are deciding which residents are eligible for a fourth stimulus check and how much they will receive, according to The Sun. If residents of Connecticut want to be eligible for their state’s $1,000 unexpected stimulus payment, they must take immediate action.
Back To Work CT Program
The Back to Work CT Program was announced by Governor Ned Lamont on Monday, May 17, 2021. The program’s goal is to encourage long-term unemployed residents of Connecticut to return to the workforce by offering them incentives; they offer $1,000 in incentives to those who meet specific requirements. The federal funding for the payments is part of the CARES Act that Connecticut receives from the federal government.
A total of $10 million has been set aside for this bonus-paying initiative that will benefit as many as 10,000 deserving job seekers. In conjunction with the Connecticut Department of Labor, the program is administered by the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services and ends on December 31, 2021. According to NCBCT, to receive a $1,000 bonus payment, unemployed residents who meet the program’s eligibility requirements must submit the Back to Work CT application online. There will be no paper applications accepted at this time.
