Since the Omicron variant was first discovered days ago in South Africa, it rapidly spread in another country several other nations, including Germany, Australia, Canada, Italy, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Hong Kong, and Israel. As a result over the weekend, Biden instituted new travel restrictions in the U.S. starting by Monday from the eight-nation of Africa to impose a travel ban to slowdown the international spread of the new strain.

In the meantime, Dr. Fauci and the Biden Administration urged people to be fully vaccinated and all eligible adults should get the booster of COVID-19 because as for the White House “likely to provide a degree of protection against severe cases of COVID.”
